PILGRIM ENGLISH WAY

Antón Veiras rural house is nearby this pilgrims way to Santiago de Compostela. We are located by the next to last step of it.

The English way was used by the pilgrims who arrived in Galicia from Baltic ports, Netherlands, Scanidavia, Flanders, north of France but overal English and Irish pilgrims. From Ferrol and La Coruña the pilgrims started their trip to Santiago de Compostela.

VILLAGUDÍN RESERVOIR

The river system, that includes a reservoir and Pontepedra and Lengüelle rivers, makes of this place an excellent environment for fishing and nature lovers.

The reservoir is the first touristic fishing point authorized by the Regional Goverment of Galicia. Paying an access fee, you can practice trout and salmon fishing in different styles and using different baits. The area is located 13 km away from Antón Veiras rural house.

CABALEIROS DOLMEN

The dolmen is one of the best preserved megalithic monument in Galicia from the 3rd millenium B.C., and is popular known as "Casa da Moura". It is located 17 km away from Antón Veiras.

HIKING

Council of Ordes:

-Ruta del rio Mercurín, 15 km route aprox. (4h 30 min) and medium difficulty level. It is located 2 km away from the house.

Council of Frades:

-Route next to Tambre river, it links Aiazo recreational area, Pontecarreira dam and Brates bridge .

Council of Cerceda:

-Route next to Lengüelle river

-Route from Cerceda to "Alto Cedeira"(peak)

-Monte Xalo

AQUAPARK

Located 10 km away from Antón Veiras, Aquapark is a water park with a lot of diving boards, open air warm water pools, jacuzzi, water chutes.... The park is open from June 7th (12:00-20:00).
