TOWER OF CALDALOBA(PIÑEIRO-COSPEITO):

It is a 14th century tower located  100 mt. away from Pazo de Caldaloba, both located less than 7 km away from the parish of Pino.

THE CATHEDRAL BEACH  (BARREIROS-RIBADEO):

This distances 45 min. from our house and there you could see the wonderfull holes in the coast made by the stregth of the sea. We have information about the tides, very important to enjoy the visit .

SOURCES OF MIÑO RIVER (O PEDREGAL-FONMIÑÁ MEIRA):

   

This place in located in a unique setting due to its natural landscape, because it is located in the mountain range of Meira where the main Galician river have its source and where you can drink the water in the fountain from the same river.   

CASTRO DE VILADONGA (CASTRO DE REI):

     

Located less than 15 km. away from Casa Grande de Anllo, we could see the most important archaeological site of the province of Lugo with the basegrounds of building of ancient cultures. There is also a museum with the main objects found in the site. Guided tours are also available

SMALL LAKE OF COSPEITO (COSPEITO):

   

Placed less than 1 km away from our house, this small lake  is a natural biosphere reserve (UNESCO) that belongs to Parga-Támoga-Ladra SCI (Site of Community Interest) . There is a route where it is possible to observe indigenous trees, practice birdwatching, and other animals. There are also some otters, endangered specie in this area).

ROMAN WALL OF LUGO (LUGO):

   

The wall was built by the Roman emperor Augusto in the 13 year B.C. to defend the old town LUCUS AUGUSTI; the wall preserves all its perimeter and it is possible to walk along its 2,5 km in the upper level and to gaze at the Lugo city center; all of this located less than 30km away from CAsa Grande de Anllo.

WATERWHEEL AND HANDI CARFTS FROM TARAMUNDI:

           

Taramundi is a small village in the borderline between Galicia and Asturias where it is possible to  visit centearian waterwheels still working and producing the well-known  pocketknifes from Taramundi. You will have the opportunity to see live people working with the iron in the blacksmith's. There are also some ethnographic museum; detailed information is availbale in our house.
